One piece of advice that I came across a few years back and have tried to keep in my head is that No one has figured out everything; everyone is just trying to figure it out.
We often make assumptions that some people know everything about life and are somehow superior to us. We start putting them on a pedestal and create stories that portray their lives as if they were born with superpowers, like superheroes or heroines. This approach creates a superficial divide and leads to self-doubt and insecurity.
Yes, there are some people who may have more experience in certain fields, but that’s just because they had the chance to try something before you did. Just because they tried, they gained some insights, but that’s all. You should appreciate their effort. You can learn from their experiences and use them to try to make better decisions, but you must resist the temptation to place them on unattainable pedestals. At the end of the day, everyone here is a traveler on the path of discovery, each with our own unique journey to undertake.
